Ok so the other night my jetta while idling normally just suddenly stalled out and then when i restarted it it ran like crap then got a little worse each time it would stall and I would restart. So I decided to just let it sit til the morning. I went out in the morning and it would not start at all and still wont. I hooked it up to the computer, and Cam Position Sensor code p0341 popped up. That code will come up if your timing belt slips and the timing is off. If this is the case, How bad is it if the car was tried to be started several times throughout the day? Will this Bend anything, fu*k anything up? Can this be fixed without a hitch? What do I do?

It might be that your cam tensioner has malfunctioned and either needs to be adjusted or replaced. Your timing belt may be okay. I think P0341 corresponds to code 16395. Are you throwing a CEL light? Have you had to change out any coilpacks?Im buying toyota celica and wondering what the difference is between GT, ST and VVT is?
Sorry to say it, but replacing the cam adjustment unit is kind of expensive... maybe not as much on a 2.0 as opposed to the turbo but still, it's a VW. Are you scanning with the full version of VAG-Com or just the freeware version that only scans Engine I module?

Sorry bud, take it to a shop (I personally prefer independent shop over stealership) and have them at least diagnose the problem. Or try your question on vwvortex.com and see what they say. You never know it might just be a coilpack problem.

Stop with the starter. You already did the damage. Lets not make it worse. Hopefully it is just a bent valve. Worse is a hole in the piston from the valve.You got to pull the valve cover off and look at your timing belt. Maybe the timing belt cover has to come off too to get a good picture of what is going on. If the belt is broke, car is going to a shop. Head repair only is your hope. No guarantee until the mechanics look.
