I need to know if my 1999 Pontiac Grand Am has an EGR Valve.?

I am buying a new motor for it and the mech, wants to know if it has a EGR Valve. The person who is selling the motor has one with EGR and one without. I was told buy someone on here that my car has one but I want to be sure and the car is not running right know. Can anyone tell me what I am looking for? Thanks

I have a toyota corolla 1.3i 16v, when does the timing belt need changed?

If it has a V6 engine then it DOES have an egr valve.
If it is a 4 cylinder then it may or may not. On the 4 cylinder,
the egr valve,if it has one,will be on the front of the engine toward the left.
The egr valve is about 3 or 4 inches tall and is shaped like a cylinder with a wire connector on the top.

if you take a look at the emmision sticker under the hood, toward the bottom there thound be a list of abreviations for emmision control devices, if you see EGR listed then yes, aside from that i have no other way of knowing without getting under the hood and looking.
