The SJ was the predecessor of the Samurai. Basically the same auto. I'd check an see if a body lift for the Sammy is compatible w/the SJ.

As far as a body lift is concerned I'd opt for no more than a 1" lift then ad a set of 2" shackles. A 3" body lift is more trouble than it is worth("Too many problems associated with shifter and steering complications.....")

Dead simple. The body is bolted to the cassis, You need some spacers. Make 'em or buy 'em, up to you, and loger bolts. Then you just unbolt the body, Lift it with jacks or a chain hoist or just a bunch of people, put the spacers in place and set the body back down again, bolt it all up and Hey Presto..... lifted sj.
