Question:
I have a 2002 ford F150 FX4 and it devoloped a miss and My check engine light came on. I filled it up with gas and put some gas treatment in the tank and it still missed. I took it to Autozone and they put it on a computer and said something was wrong with cylender #8. What do I need to do to fix it. I can't take it to the garage right now. Is this a serious problem that will cost me some money?

replace the coil pack for that cylinderdpp trout is pretty much correct.. known issues with the coil packs going out... If you are a shade tree, you can change them out by yourself...

The coils are known for these concerns on Modular engines. Remove coil and get a spare spark plug and put it in coil .Start engine and see if it fires.If it doesn.t instal a a new coil. and spark plug If the coil is not firing it,s going to foul the spark plug.And eventually wash the cylinder with raw fuel which will cause damage.Get it checked somewhere where they can proprely diagnose it and repair itWhich car should i buy , i have shortlisted following cars alto, wagonr or esteem. pls assist.?
More than likely, it is the COP (Coil On Plug) they are know to fail occasionally. It is the rear cylinder on the driver side.For more great conversation on your truck, check out http://www.ford-trucks.com.
