96 honda accord vtec 2.2l?

Question:
is it always better for the vtec to kick in sooner or later, does it all matter on performance and take off ect. another thing reason for asking, theres a chip on ebay that said itl make my vtec kick in at 2500 rpm, is it better to do that, and also it makes my redline a 8500 rpm does that mean the rev limiter wont cut on no more, whats better the chip or stock, when does vtec normally kick in.

Answers:

How much do you know about a 1993 Pontiac Bonneville?

it makes Vtec kick in sooner yes it can be good for people that want to race for better times and on the note of the rev-limit off thats not a good thing for a frist timmer at performance upgrade the bad part on this is you can harm the motor easy by reving way to high VALVE CAN BRAKE OR CAMS CAN BRAKE it would be a good idea if you got a tach with it so you dont go to far. 8500 rpm is max. with out building the bottom end and top

Wat is better old car or new car??

For a non-modded to lightly-modded (intake, header, exhaust) F22, it is better to keep the honda ecu. Revving your motor to 8500 RPM wont produce any more power and is unsafe for a stock motor. As far as gaining power: neither will lowering the VTEC engagement point. Dont fall for the gimmicks, just stick with your stock ecu, it compensates enough.
