Question:
I am into car questions today. I am going back for my PhD, and I hope my car will last a long time. It will have about 115,000 on it when I go (I drive a lot for my current job). I have heard that these cars can last a long time, like to 150-200,000 if they are cared for. I won't be driving much once I get to school. Thoughts?

my 1992 camry had 210 miles on it when i traded it in and it was still in mint condition ( i just wanted something newer).
i had a 1999 corolla and it too had 215k miles on it when i just traded it in last year for my 2006 lexus RX330 (lexus is the luxury line of toyota-made from the same people). i also have an 07 camry which i totally love.
Monthly payment on a subaru sti?
treat it right and it will last a long time. toyota prides itself on making it's cars well. as long as you give it the scheduled maintenance it needs-it should last a long time.
What is the average gas mileage for a 1997 chevrolet cavalier?
999,999I had a 86 Corolla as my first car. I got 300k miles before the engine went and i had to scrap it. I would figure your 2003 would be safe for at least 200-250k.
Yo dude that car already has aLOT of miles on it, so what i would do its be very carefull with it, just take care of the car u know oil change and all that sh** all i know it has a lot of miles on it toyotas are very good cars but one can only take sooo much dude...GOOD LUCK!!
I just bought a 96 Tercel with 265K on it. It dosent leak or burn 1 drop of oil. It is a strong running car and is fun to drive. Toyotas are known for their ability to rack up the miles and keep going. 115K is nothing on a toyota!
Ford Diagnosis why can't I fill gas tank?
In terms of reliability the Corolla has ranked as #1 model in its category since the 80's. You should get 200,000 no problem, dont forget that timing belt and regular oil changes. How can I set the door keypad on my 1998 Ford Taurus?
move to Japan and get your phdWHICH USED CAR TO BUY, ACURA INTEGRA,HONDA PRELUDE or LEXUS IS SERIES?
well if your going for your phD that means you already had a masters... and since you can only afford a piece of crap corolla with a masters... what kind of car do you think you'll get with a phD? Camry?you obviously dont have a man in your life since you are askin this question... and research has shown that the higher education a woman has the less chance of her gettin married.. or having a good boyfriend.. this is because guys dont want smart chicks... why would they want a smart ugly chick when they could get a hot dumb chick?
That car will easily get 250,000 on odo.
Just make sure you have the fluids flushed, and check your linkages and you should be fine.
Take care of it and it will last you a lot longer. Any estimate you are given could be really off. For example, in Japan people think that a car should be scrapped after about 70,000 miles. Scrapped as in sold for sheet metal. They are idiots though, and are brainwashed by the government and car parts stores that tell you to change the oil every 1500 miles.
Point of my rant is, every country will have their own biases and assumptions of what you can get out a car. Truth is, mileage will vary depending on the owner. To be safe, assume you will get around 200,000 out of it, and anything above that is a bonus.
Regular servicing and maintainance, fixing problems as they arrise and careful driving will make your car last a long time.
to get about 350-400 000 on the clock would be good, but it could last longer, take for instance taxi's, cab companies put approx 2,000,000 km on the clock before selling them, even then there is still plenty of life in the car.
Hello, does anyone know What sort of Roof Rack I need to buy for my Renault Scenic ?
Toyota's are cheap reliable "appliances". Care for it well and you'll get a lot of miles- trash it and you won't. Specific Toyota Corolla problems? They are notorious oil burners - after 60-80K miles, they'll start burning up to a quart between regular 3 to 5K oil changes. . . on even the "very religiously well" dealer maintained vehicles (as mine was).Honda is an engine company. Solid performance, no oil burn, super reliable. I'll go back to Honda in a heartbeat... even w/ their current odometer issues, which will be resolved, they are great cars and much more fun to drive. Handling response much better than the sloppy corolla
