How do you set the clock on a 2007 Silverado?
It all depends. Whether the car is driven is mostly stop and go traffic or highway. How well maintained the engine is the big factor. Regular oil changes and other maintence will definately make the engine last longer. I would say you should expect about 150K if the engine is well maintained. There is a chance it could even get up to 200K. It's hard to say really. Then again you might do everything right and the engine goes out at 100K.I have a 99 eclipse with 120K still going strong and my boyfriend has a 95 eclipse with 150K and he is on his 4th tranny and 2nd engine (1st engine crankwalked at 110K). Of course these cars have totally different engines than yours.
It really depends on how heavy your foot is. I have owned an '89 Galant, which I sold shortly after it hit 150k - that car ran like a top and is probably still running good, if they pulled routine maintenance.
I currently have a '96 GST spyder with 146k - slight lifter tappings every now and then, but I think it gives the car character...lol.
To be honest, I drive the spyder pretty hard, but have very few complaints, have replaced all belts (timing, etc.) twice and hoses once and also as needed.
Both these cars have 2.0 L 4 cylinders; I really can't speak for the 6's, but I wouldn't have been afraid to drive to California (or wherever) in either of those cars - IMHO, Mitsubishi builds good engines, very cheap to hop up also.
