whoever told ya that needs to be shot. oil as it ages inside your engine turns acidic. that why ya need to change it, and the filter every 3,000. or whichever interval toyota recommends for your engine. if its been awhile with it treated like that ya might want to invest in a engine cleaning at your local oil change place. the engine cleaner will pump a solvent through you engine and clean out all the crap that's inside your engine.then after that always change your oil. dont do it an see what happensWho told you that.
