Question:
I was just wondering if my Eclipse could fit 20 inch rims without being modified.
Answers:
Unless you have contacted the manufacturer of the wheel you want, theres no guarantee that it will fit.
You have to make sure the 20" wheels will fit over the calipers. Just because the cars wheels are 16" stock, dont assume a 20" wheel will clear the calipers. Ive seen this so many times. People think that a bigger wheel will be fine, but thats not the case.
If you have 20" wheels that are 12" wide, your not going to be able to turn.
So yes, a 20" wheel will fit in the wheel wells without modification, however, finding a 20" wheel that is 6" wide, that can clear the caliper, that has the correct offset, and a tire small enough limits your choices immensley.
Without changing the suspension I would say no.
