Question:
My 93 Ford tarus stalled during idling at stops(Traffic lights). This behavior is not consistent. However during idling rpm goes down very low and picks up. There is sqealing noise along supentine belt. I have shown it to mechanic at a reputed store. They did diagonsis the engine ($90) and said that no error codes are found.
Every body says that they need $100 for diagnosis. Please help by providing possible causes.

anyone know of a twin turbo kit for a 2006 mustang gt?
The squealing you are hearing may be a loose belt or bad bearing at the tensioner idler pulley. The stalling sounds to me like you have a vacuum leak somewhere on the engine. The squealing probably wouldn't show up on a diagnostic check but a loss of vacuum should. It's worth a look anyways.!!Help!! The engine may not be at fault, hence, no error code. Some could be's are as follows: Vacuum leak in one of the lines, fuel pump might be going (if you change that, change the fuel filter as well), or the idle control. Maybe throttle issue. Check your sensors too. Or it could be your catalytic converter is getting clogged up. Good luck.how do you program a car alarm remote for a chevy tahoe 2000?
first off whoever did the diagnostics is a quack and ripped you off, a serpintine belt will not cause an error code and they should no that. its hard to say without seeing the car but it sounds like your ac compresser is locked up. to check this simply start the car with ac and heater turned off. then turn your defrost on that will trigger your ac to click on. the ac come on to remove moister from the air. i believe that is why its not consistant. further more most real shops will do a diagnostic free if you let them fix the carI have a 1990 Nissan Quest van which jerks when I first put my foot on the gas pedal?
i own a repair shop, and it sounds like an alternator going bad on it ,that will make the squealing noise on it,and also make it stall at idle, and stops,it may also be a water pump bearing trying to lock up on it making it squeal like this ,that will put a strain on the engine, and sometimes stall it at an idle ,you need to take it to a good mechanic who knows what he,s doing ,you could get a good free opinion on it,and it would be better than paying to find out no more than they have told you, good luck with it,i hope this help,s.How much would an engine cost for a 90 Honda? Can the car run ok without an engine?
You could have a bad IAC motor. The Idle Air Control module controls the air fuel mix while the engine is at idle. They are fairly inexpensive, and are easy to replace. Another possible cause could be plugs and plug wires. If you haven't had a tune up in a while, now might be a good time for one. As for the squeeling, that's a typical side-effect of loss of enigine RPM.What's a common fault in 1984 Subaru digital dashboard?
It's a very simple fix. On top of the 3.8 and 3.0 motor you will notice a cylindrical aluminum housing 1 3/8 diameter 3 in. long at the end there two screws fastening it to the intake manifold at the end facing the firewall there is an orange wire that slides off a blade type clip. This device takes the place of the old EGR valve. It measures small amounts of exhaust gas back through the intake manifold for emissions purposes. You are experiencing a sticking valve. It's supposed to close entirely while the engine idling as the engine RPM increases the valve opens. If there no 90 degree cuts or notches on the serpentine belt, spray the dog crap out of it with a good brand of silicone spray get both sides and spray well. Hope this does it for you.where would i find step-bystep instructions on changing an exhaust manifold?
