How do you take the engine cover off of a 2007 Jetta? I need to change the air filter with a K&N, but can't.

Question:
I don't want to break the cover trying to get it off. I also don't want to have to take it to the dealership.
I think it just pops off, but I don't want to do that unless I know for sure.

the plastic cover just pulls up. do not put the k&n filter in it, until its out of warranty. unless you like to keep buying mass air flow meters that the k&n filters can and will damage. but, hey... do what you want.

K&N's let too many dirt particles through. Put it back in the box and return it to the vendor. You will soon find the MAF dirty.
