did not own one but got to drive a s60R for about a month. the main difference is the engine. its turbo charged to the tune of 300 hp. performance in the R will be greatly superior. handling is selectable with its 3 different settings.

What's the fastest engine?GSR,H22,TYPE R,OR LS VTEC?

in my opinion the extra money would be well worth it if you are in the market for a sport wagon.
