It should have the place of first registration in the log book. Check this against the V5 and if the dates are different then its an import.I almost fell into this trap trying to buy an Audi S3. The car was perfect and the log book was perfect, but it turns out that the log book was not the original and it was only when comparing it to the V5 that I discovered that the car was a German import (albeit RHD).
