With a lot of workZC engine- What car is this engine from originally?
It would be a lot of work and not at all worthwhile, the suspension wouldn't handle the extra weight of the 383, the trans and diff wouldnt handle the power, all in all not a good idea. What are the dimensions and weight of the outer part of a Volkswagon van?
It should, but I don't know if there will be problems with the transmission bolt pattern. I think the 383 was a big block.New engine for my 1996 Jeep Cherokee SE??
You'd probably do better with the 340, as far as getting a better deal on parts and their availability. The 340 was used quite successfully in the Dodge Dart, Demon and Plymouth Duster.
They even put a 6 pack on it for the Challenger T/A in 1970.

One of the guys I was at USAF tech school with put an edelbrock intake, Holly 650 and headers on his 340 demon. It ran pretty strong and he still got pretty decent gas mileage.

what kind of battery goes in a 38 ft. Chevy R.V.?
Easy answer.. YES. I think may be easiest to install with a motor-plate. As people have for decades in earlier A-bodies. I have had 383's, and 440's in 65 darts and Barracudas...so I know a 383 will fit in an Aspen. I would try to find a Mopar nut in your area or a reputable Mopar shop to do the install. Your obviously are gonna need the big-block transmission, possibly a different oil pan, aftermarket headers, different driveshaft, etc. Upgrade as you go.. that little rear-end that's probably in there now is only gonna last soo long.. radiator might be different.....Can a remote start be installed in a diesel car?
I saw a guy several years ago had put a Hemi in a Volare (same car but a Plymouth version). He tied off the subframes, had to alter the inner fenders, had to find/alter a K-member to handle the weight/torque of the engine. It depends on what you want from the car, and is it worth it to you.
Just about any engine will fit in any car with enough grunt work.
Looking for a Porsche 911 1988 Carrera 3.2 good second hand exhaust system?
It's not as hard as you think. Motor mounts to convert from an A motor to a B block can be purchased from Schumacher Creative Services, as can street headers that will prevent hacking up the inner fenders. I don't know what kind of trans you have. If it is a 727 auto, you are OK. If not, you may have to switch. If it is a manual, use an A-833. The one thing you should definitely change is the 8 1/4 rear, especially if you have a stick. Use an 8 3/4 rear. It is much stronger.More Questions & Answers ...
