Whats up with the 07/08 Audi front facia?

Its like a huge black pastic panel, which looks incredibly ugly. I think audi philes think its "hot" but anyone with aethestic judgement can see how butt-ugly it is...but then again the general american public has very little taste..

Just like what Motor Trend said about the car when it first got tested, "The front nose, either like hate it or love it." And I love it! It makes the car look more aggresive and a little bigger. I think that it was a good choice by Audi to change up the style a little bit.
