I have a 96 mustang and my overdrive off light flashes?

Question:
i press the o/d button and nothing happens. the car feels like it wants to shift but doesnt. how do i resolve this problem

I run both heaters or car overheats. Suggestions? Fans, Waterpump, appear to be operating but no circulate?

BAD JU-JU That is the cars way of telling you there is somethign wrong with the transmission Kinda like the Check Engine light comes on, only the transmission flashing is a little more serious.

The transmission range sensor is kaput most likely. This part shouldn't cost too much to fix. Take it in to a mechanic to get a diagnosis.

you should pull the transmission yourself.(not too hard) Or explain it to a mechanic. Transmission work is expenxive. but there should be a selctor sensor on the outside of the tranny, you can replace it.
