Oh no! That might be a head gasket being blown. That's an expensive repair job. Try pouring some radiator leak in, it might seal it up for awhile.
How much horse power does a corvette engine have?
You probably have a bad piston ring on one of the cylinders on the side that's smoking. Pull the spark plugs on the side of the motor that's smoking and see if one of them is oil fouled- that will tell you which cylinder is haviong the problem. (Do onje at a time, so you know which plug came from which cylinder). Or, do a compression test on that bank of cylinders and find which is the cylinder with compression substantially lower than the others. Once you do that, you can do a few other simple tests that will tell for sure if it's truly the ring or something simpler, like a valve stem seal. It you have a busted ring, you should hear a hollowish "slapping" noise coming from that side.Tinted Taillight Covers for 99 Grand Prix?
It's likely not your hesad gasket- if it were,k you'd have white smoke and coolant in your oil. (Wish it was...a head gasket is cheaper than the engine rebuild you'll need if the ring is bad)

sounds like a head gasket to meDoes anyone know where is the fuel filter located on 96 mazda 626 lx?
it sound to me like piston rings problem , you see the main function of the oil in an engine is, obviously to lubricate the moving internal parts of the same , as well as to dissipate heat caused by the friction , in conjunction with your cooling system, now the smoke you see coming out of your exhaust is caused by the oil that is passing way up your piston rings into the combustion chamber , acting as a fuel source, mix with air, and gasoline , so the only answer to solve your problem is to overhaul your engine , you can save some money by ,simply buying a short block , take your heads to a machine shop ,let them do a valve job and put it back together . voila . hope this helps .buddy good luck.OOOPS, these folks don't remember the old iron!
86 still has a carb- Check your oil and see if it has a gas smell.
Help with nissan 200sx how can i solve this issue>?
Suspect a stuck jet or leak in the old Rochester could be washing down the cylinder walls on one bank causing oil to burn.
Will I still have warranty if i buy lowering springs and get local company to install?
NOT A HEAD GASKET-you report no secondary indications or even primary ones!
If the oil isn't gassy- run a compression test on all cylinders. If the smokey bank is lower, run a wet compression test on it.
If it pops up then it is screaming rings-if compression was OK all around it indicates valve seals(seals don't impact compression).
Slow and easy, but experience bets on a carb problem.
Sounds like your rings are shot!
