1997 Grand Prix?

Question:
1997 Grand Prix /super charged with 3.8 L car wont start or if I get it started wont stay running, have gone through 3 new batteries , changed the alternature air sencors fuel filter , 3 additional sencors, a computer board under the dash and now the entire wiring harness from tne steering column, the mech hooked up the computer , cant find anything wrong , but car wont stay running

do a wiggle test. it is possible it is a rotted or corroded wire somewhere near that fuseblock under the hood. if you can manage to keep it running for long enough, start to wiggle wires and see if you can control the stalling by pulling on certain wires, then hard wire in the bad connection.

it could even be a problem with the sending unit in the fuel tank, try tapping the bottom of the fuel tank with a hammer to see if it starts faster.

Rocker arms?

I had a problem with my 96 grand prix not ideling, if it would even start, we replaced the IAC (idle air control) sensor/valve, it fixed the problem. To see if this is the problem though, you can take your out and clean it with some intake cleaner, if it helps it run at all that is the problem, but you will still need to replace it because if it is bad, the cleaning won't help it for very long. Also, if it won't start, possibly the sylenoid going bad? I think you can have that tested, starter as well since you will probably have to pull the starter to get to the sylenoid, at your local auto parts store. Hope this helps!
