Gmc jimmy mine died today, & it is stuck in park, its been having elec. problems,replaced fuel pump 2x.?

it wont start now and when I could start it sometimes it wasn't making a connection until the engine light comes on, now nothing the fuel pump is fine.1997 GMC Jimmy 4dr 4wd also stuck in park .Was told to check crank sensor?

There are many things that could prevent it from starting form iqnition switch problems (which sounds like a very good possability since it could cause both of your problems that you now have. I would first check if you are getting fuel and fire to cylinders. If no fire then remove the control module and take to your local parts suplier and have it checked before buying a new one. If control module is good then I would check the ignition switch to make sure it is making proper connections. More information about what you have problems with will maybe guide you in the right direction but be sure to have items tested prior to replacing them. That is usually a free servive that your parts people provide so use it to save your cost...I hope that helps.nothing worse than car problems
