this egr is for a 90 celica turbo alltrac. when i apply vacuum the engine wont run rough or dies. i can see the valve close/open up when the vacuum is applied. what other possibilities can cause the engine not to run rough when vacuum is applied to egr valve?

ALLTRAC.NET This site has all the answers to your AllTrac needs !!Note If you are apply vacuum to the valve with a vacuum pump and valve moves like you say while at idle and no change in idle. The egr passage way in intake is plugged with carbon. Not hard to fix. take off valve and clean the carbon out going into the intake. The best way to clean is a brush a pistol cleaning brush works nice. Then take a vacuum and vacuum loose carbon out don't let big carbon chunks fall in motor you don't want to damage valve train.
