Question:
Hiya! My Buddy has a motor in his car, it has some old humpback/ camelback heads on it. His problem is that these heads do not have any factory casted tapped holes to mount his power steering and alternator. He is quite reluctant to change heads, as he has had some machining done to the heads. Where would he be able to find brackets? Will he have to get some brackets fabbed, or modified? I performed a cursory internet search and i didn't get the results i needed.
Thank you!

How much should it cost to put two new front tires on my 1995 Toyota Avalon?
I have done this on 2 sets of S/B heads on my own cars but the heads were off and on the bench. You need the pump and brackets from some early models with the p/s pivot bolt hole on the water pump is drilled all the way through and the adjuster bolt bolts to a bracket on the exhaust manifold that can be modified to work with headers.
For the alt. pivot bolt there is not enough metal on the top part of the head (unless these heads have a boss there that isn't drilled that can be drilled) to drill and tap it so I drilled 2 holes in the bottom of the head close to the block but not to close to the head bolt and drilled and taped (might go into into water jacket) and installed 2 studs with thread sealing loctight with a nut on outside of studs to secure.
than fabed a 3/8 plate that I fastened to the studs and drilled and tapped for the alt. pivot bolt . Spacers were used to get the belt lined up.
I got the measurements for alt pivot bolt from a set of heads that all ready had the hole drilled.
This was on a 68 pro street Camaro and never had a problem with belt coming off and twisted it to 7500 rpm's.
Any questions email me.
Good-luck
