A question for dubbers (VW fanatics) please.?
1. temperature storage2. breathable car cover, light weight, even paperish
3. crack windows 1" to allow air flow
4. small Tupperware of a few moth balls inside the car
5. same in trunk if applicable
6. leave 2 Tupperware of few moth balls under engine and rear (under car on ground)
7. jack car up and allow frame to rest on blocks or stands, to leave it on tires will destroy the tires
8. change oil and filter
9. disconnect battery, remove it as well in case it leaks
10. drain the cooling system
11. fuel stabilizer in gas tank, run for few minutes so its in lines, near empty tank is best. when you return fresh gallon and she should fire right up
12. wash and wax the car prior to covering

temperature controlled storage is the best but most expensive.remove the battery - charge it when you get back or buy a new one
put fuel stabilizer in the gas tank and run it for 10-15 minutes
put some dryer sheets or moth boths in it to keep out pests - also put some under the hood to keep them out
Change the oil.
Remove the spark plugs and pour a teaspoon of motor oil in each cylinder, replace the plugs.
Try to store the car on blocks or stands with the tires off the ground.
Drain the fuel system.
Drain the cooling system.
Disconnect and remove the battery.
Cover the car with a good quality car cover.
Hopefully a garage is available.
Leave your car cover and disconnect the battery and leave the car clean its going to keep your car with his paint (the paint wont go).Good Luck and have a nice trip.
