Why does my 91 Ford Explorer drive so slow?

Question:
When I'm driving 55 mph or even 60, it feels like I'm only doing 25. Could it be because I need a wheel alignment or are they just that slow speeded.?

If you are only going 25 when your speedomentor says your going 55 or 60, did you put new tires on it? That would make a huge difference. If you did put new tires on it, then you will need to bring it into a mechanic to hook up a device and reprogram it to recognize the new tires.

If you are really going 55 or 60, but it feels slow...some cars can go fast, but you feel like your going slow - it's just in the design.
