Whats the differences a 12 bolt truck rear end and a 12 bolt car rear end?

Question:
i would like to know everthing about them.do truck rear ends have c-clips or are thay like a 9 ford rear end??

Answers:

How much does it cost to get a performance exhaust on a vw and is worth it?

I own a shop, race, and build a lot of rear-ends. There is not much difference between the two. The only difference would be the truck gears are a little wider by about .100"-.125", which is a lot in gear terms. The heat treatment on truck gears is more efficient, thus the gears are much stronger, and last longer than a car gear. By the gears being wider it give you more area for the mesh, and is able to take much more force to break the teeth than that of a car gear. A lot of it will depend on if it's the older gears Vs the newer gears. All of the older gears say prior to about 1975 were heavy duty. The truck rear ends have C clips just like the car gears.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!

Did Ford get there frames from Dodge?

yes on c-clips, and a truck will always be more heavy duty
