Many 2G eclipse owners with 4g63 engines (turbo-charged) swap out their 7-bolt with the 6-bolt because it is a stronger engine and is a lot less likely to crankwalk.
it depends on what product u'r refering too> tell me more & I'll tell u what
I just bought a 1993 Audi 100 CS.?
Are you referring to eclipse's? And the 6 bolt and 7 bolt? Its basically just two slightly different engines. the 6 bolt is better and less likely to crank walk if the eclipse is a turbo, which is why people often do a engine swap over to the 6 bolt if it comes with a 7 bolt. The 7 bolt is mostly in the 95 and up eclipses. If the eclipse is nonturbo, you dont have to worry.Change engine oil light on silverado?
As TRae and Janet stated, there are 6 bolt motors and 7 bolt motors (referring to number of bolts that hold the flywheel on). The 6 bolt motors are more durable and as stated, less likely to crankwalk. So if you are buying an eclipse, ar any other DSM, the 6 bolt would be the better engine.More Questions & Answers ...
