The price depends on the condition. For an 89 it would have to be in fantastic shape to bring that kind of money from an individual. Car lots can get a few bucks more for them. Cars aren't bad except for high mileage ones smoking and burning oil on the 3.0 V6. Make sure that it isn't smoking at all. Also make sure that the transmission isn't slipping or acting funny in any way. They had major troubles in those years with transmissions and would cost more than the car to fix. If trans works fine and engine doesn't smoke or run rough and radiator coolant is clean and green and has no rust or brown stuff in it then they make nice cars. Cheap to buy and not hard to work on as long as you aren't changing engine or transmission. Most parts are cheap and common enough that all parts stores have tune up stuff in stock as well as belts, brakes, alternators, water pumps, timing belts, and most other items that you need from time to time to keep them running. Because of the reputation over transmissions and the engine smoking problem (valve guides in the heads wear out prematurely on the 3.0) they sell very cheap. That can work in your favor though if this one is nice and you are buying to drive the wheels off it.
