start off by doing the cheaper things like induction kit then exhaust system (full) i would also change the exhaust manifold to a sports one and if it has a cat put a by pass or sport cat in it. this will give some more power.but.. if you want more after that your talking money but next on the list is a head skim, port and polish this will give you more air in and out of the engine but an more after this and you will need to look into big money oh one more cheap one and that is fuel prssure regulator. cheers
I had the same kinda. Put the racing exhaust system in that will give you a good 25 to 50 extra off the bat. And change the fan form gas to electric. That's an easy 10 more.

The V6 engine has a relatively small displacement so it can be difficult to squeeze power from it. Nitrous will result in a large power increase but you have to refill the bottle and it may be illegal in your area to run nitrous on your street car. The basics for making power are the same on any engine, the more air that comes in and the faster it leaves, the more power you will make. A turbocharger will really increase the power output but can be expensive. Opening up the ports in the cylinder head will net some power as well but that's not cheap and you need to find a reputable shop to do that kind of labor. Trade it in for either a 4.6 or a 5.0, the extra you pay for the V8 to begin with is ALOT LOT cheaper than the money you will have to throw at that little 3.8 to get it up to the performance of the V8 to begin with. If this answer isn't feasible, I would start off with a stroker kit and camshaft as the intake and exhaust system is adequate to handle the air flow needed, this might not be the easiest upgrade route, but definitely the smartest. All of the people who claim huge improvements are basing performance gains strictly off the improved sound enhancements, I had a 95 with the 3.8 that I threw all types of performance enhancements at, all of which finally allowed me to keep up with mildly modified fox body 5.0's which supports my initial statement--Trade it in for a GTdo it my way i took a 4 cyl mustang and put the spercharged 5.4 from the lightning in it time consumingand you better know your electronics

you cant put the supercharger on the stock motor. block not thick enough. You should definetly start with K&N filter, and MSD plug wires. I've been trying to get MSD to reccomend me something as far as an performance ignition coil pack. and a x-pipe, flowmaster exhaust combo. all that will prolly only cost $250-$350. not bad for up to 50+ HP increase.Where can i find a soft top for my 2002 jeep wrangler in stock in savannah ga?
