I need to locate and clean the MAF sensor on my VW Bug because it is idling rough at stops, seems to not catch as soon as I take off. This was on and off but now it seems to be getting worse. Does anyone know a website with the info to do this or can give me directions?

The unit is the entire ring. Undo the hose clamps around it and slide it out to access the MAF sensor itself.

The lad got it located. When cleaning remember to unhook the wire harness carefully. Use only approved cleaning sprays like a Carb Cleaner, never use a brake cleaner. Dry it thoroughly with compressed air before re installing. Use a silcon di-electric in the connector before re connecting.This doesn't actually fix very many cars. It works on the old Bosch swing arm ones. That is not yours.
On a dual exhaust, will having bigger pipes after the exhaust affect sound or performance?
If you have stalling I would get a computer scan to check the 20 other things it could be. Is your "check engine" light on?
I have seen spark plugs or wires do this or an IAC(Idle Air Control) Valve. A plugged fuel filter could also do this. there are just so many possibilities...
