Hi ive looked in the handbook but all it says is how to activate and deactivate,how will i know if its already active?will it ask for code every time i go to start the car?I was never given a code when i bought it.Any ideas?

But if you have the factory radio installed on the car, you will have to enter a code in order for that to function again. If it loses power, it automatically locks. (It's an anti-theft feature.)

If you don't have it, you can call the dealership (they're not supposed to give it to you over the phone, but they usually will). They may be able to find it out with your VIN, if not, you'll have to pull the radio (just two screws) and get the serial number off the back.
