when is the new camaro coming out, is it '08 or '09?
Hi there,Common rail and high pressure diesels are good for the environment but when the system fails it damages most all of the componants in the fuel system.
The fuel filter does not filter the fuel properly and dirty fuel gets into the high pressure fuel pump, the high pressure fuel pump works under such high pressures that the small amount of debris/dirt in the fuel causes the high pressure pump to wear internally and the pump breaks up passing minute particals of metel through the entire system, the injectors are blocked by metal and metal is left in the tank and fuel filter housing.
When the system is diagnosed and parts are removed for either repair or replacement, it is important that fuel tank fuel lines and filters are cleaned or replaced. Any small amount of dirt/metal left in the system can and will have catastrophic consequences at the same cost as before.
It is so important that componants are kept clean that new componants are delivered sealed and caps on connectors and pipe ends. Always use good diesel from a good source and never from an old or dirty can.
Good Luck

This is an technical bit from citroen ukin order for theresvlves to keep in with the new goverment guidelines they have to increase the oil usage in the fuel that they use on the raods(( but wait for it is it not true that the fuel companies are reducing oil as it reduces performance and it creates more emissions))
So to go back to the start.
every pump that we have had back from the rebuilders or themanufacturers have condemmed due to burning out due to no oil in pump! so i would check and clean the lines you dont get much faults from the injectors
