It is good. Go for it.Alto is one of the most lovable small car to own.This may be also called as a replacement of the old monk-’MARUTI 800’,with 10bhp more than the 800,this car with has a
refined engine under its hood (when compared to 800).it delivers sufficient amount of power for city driving & is easy to manouvre over sharp corners & is smooth over the road. It has a comparitively harder suspension than the 800 & hence its a better drive in this car tha in 800.The interiors also gave plastic spread over very nicely & is a bit attractive than the 800.the space is also a bit more.The engine being a pure japanese,picks up speed very well.With a 800cc,45bhp,16bit,12 valves,3-cylinder engine the car is amazingly quiet & has less vibrations.The interiors with neat finishes,a good look of the exterior, mileage of about 17kpl for city conditions & 22-24kpl on the highway,i bet u can’t get a better economical car than this.This is one of the best product offered by the the maruti people.
I have owned this car for about 2.5yrs & have nat faced any problem so far.
But what i have recognised is that it lacks a bit of power on the highway,coz of its lesser capacity engine .But for city driving this is a perfect car for those who do a lot of kms per day.This car is a very satisfying one & very affordable too.This has given
a new dimension to maruti as a replacement for ’MARUTI 800’.

the above user has really gave a good comparison, But i would also want to say that if you have buy Alto LX then you will be supposed to the old category as it is not so stylish etc etc, although Suzuki Zen Estilo is also good in performance but it is slightly costly from Alto, So it's better for you that if you have sufficient money for buying Zen then finally go for it, otherwise wait for sometime unless you collects the money for Zen and then purchase it. if you go to a Maruti Suzuki showroom they will guide you the best features and comparison betwwen these two's.I hopes that you will definitely purchase a new car, Congratulations!!

pls dont go for INDIAN cars. its not a joke. take my honest advice. they will kick the hell out of u. trust me. they are so poorly made.. better go for a SUZUKI or SUBARU (if u r looking for a budget-mini car)good luck and NO MARUTI PLS...
