you could also upgrade engine internals. maybe put some iron sleeves, upgrades pistons, valves and springs, etc. and then put a turbo with an intercooler on it, or if you want to go straight motor then replace the internals and overbore it. Also if you're turboing it, use lower compression pistons, but higher compression pistons if you're going NA.

Oh yeah, and some people tell you to use NOS, but I would seriously think twice about doing that without upgrading the engine internals. NO2 raises the temperature in your engine so much so fast that your engine won't last very long when using it on stock internals.

that model you have coms with a sport drive transmision, if driven properly on manual you can get more out of the engine as is.it will take a lot of work.but hears the easy way to make it go faster, get piping,headers,stage3clutch,in... and put it on the juice...you can do that with a 1000 $
