Question:
Would I have to recalibrate the whole fule system in order to keep up with the extra boost?

What type of oil is best to use in a Honda Civic?
Well, the good news is there isn't anything extra you'd need to do for the fuel system to keep up with an electric supercharger! The bad news is that electric superchargers are not very cost effective ways to add an obstruction to your intake system. You can get much the same benefit for less by simply sticking a wad of wet toilet paper over your air filter (not to sound overly commerical, but I'd be willing to supply you with an extra large wad of wet toilet paper for the low price of $150!).Is a corvette a good car to get?
If you want to add power, a real supercharger could be an option, and some have used them with some success as long as you are keeping to a relatively low boost overall. However, at the end of the day, when you look at the costs, you'd probably be better off looking at a different car that has the amount of power you want. Taking a 928 and adding more power will be expensive, and then more expensive when you realize that the suspension and brakes now need to be upgraded to handle the power increase.

why would you want to do that? It will just mess up your engine big time. Stick with what you have now...dont think you need that much speedHow to repair 1994 Honda Accord rear brakes?
dude a 928 is old...you had better get all the internals redone first.a supercharger is a ton of stress on the components of an old engine like that...even at moderate boosting...What is the easiest way to replace the lower motor mounts of a Pontaic Grand Am?
and yes a supercharger is a very elaborate system the whole fuel system will need tuning...

You can'tWhat does the DB stand for on Aston Martins ??
go with a turbo set up, there are quite a few aftermarket systems out there that would compliment the monster v8 that in lurks in your engine compartment. you Will get more bang for your buck! as far as the boost goes, yes you will have to remap. the fuel4.5L, 4.7L,5.0L,5.4L V8? Is it universal? If so then you would have to probably relocate the battery to the trunk and swap out the air filter for more space to fit the universal supercharger. An electric supercharger will only give you about 30hp. A 12v battery would power it so you would not get a lot of boost. One thing they don't say in about the electric supercharger kits is the large amount of amps is pulls. When it kicked in it would put a large strain on the alternator. Thus severely shortening the life of the alternator; even if you used a high amp alternator it would still be a large strain.
Superchargers have a constant drag on the motor since it has a belt or chain but it does not have any lag. Turbos would have a higher boost level but they have turbo lag which is when it takes time for it to spool up, it relies on forced induction. Yes you would probably need to remap the ecu although electric superchargers dont give you too much power.
Which Mercedes is the most reliable years 1990 - 2001?
Depending on the system you buy, you will need to remap the fuel system. Most units are trash, probably can't supply the volume of air your car needs, and if it can, you might only get 1 or 2 PSI of boost. Thats only 6.8 to 13 percent, or 13 to 30 extra HP. I heard of a kit that uses seperate batteries to power 18HP worth of electric motors and is capable of about 20PSI boost, but only will work for 15 seconds before needing to charge. Cool part of that system is flipping a switch turns off the charging system, so you get no parasitic loss when under boost (for 15 seconds), then the batteries recharge in about 8 minutes. Electric superchargers are mostly worthless; it takes TONS of horsepower to turn a regular supercharger, what makes anyone think that an electric motor can do the same thing!
Your best off with a custom made system using one of them centrifugal superchargers and an intercooler, bigger fuel pump, injectors...
Where is the fuel pump located on a 1994 Honda Prelude?
an electric supercharger doesnt add any boost. They dont do anything. A normal supercharger can use like 15 hp to spool. Thats like 10,000 watts. A 10 watt fan isnt going to do anything. itll just get in the way and restrict airflow. What are the normal warning lights on a Mazda Protege5 when you put the key in?
