Just enough to keep it running.It's your brothers so i know you want to take care of it. But don't spend money HOOKING IT UP, especially if you will return it in 6 Months.
Some of the mods may not be to his liking. Just get an oil change to ensure it's lubed and ask him if their are any problems with the car. If their are see if he is willing to work out a deal with you. But remember in the end, you will be giving the car back.
