I have a 2000 durango, and i have to tell you the biggest issue is going to be gas milage.. my Durango sucks gas... the sticker said 14 city 20 hwy, but it has NEVER gotten that.. i am lucky if it gets 15 all the time, more like 12-13, and the car is in perfect running condition, I have had multiple mechanics look at thru the years too..What's the difference between a van,a minivan,and an SUV?
If you don;'t mind the gas milage and want more of a truck feel, go with the durango, but if you are at all practical, the caravan is the smarter decision..

My uncle have a Durango I love 2 drive it but it eats gas so bad and they really aren't comfortable. Now my mother have a Plymouth grand vaguer and I love it.
