You have to ask what would be the point of doing this.The first part to consider is the bolt pattern. If it is the same, and the new tires do not rub the wheel wells, and the ability to properly turn is not affected, and the suspension is made higher to compensate for the larger diameter tires, and the speedometer is changed for the new tires, then I guess you could. The other solutions such as tire diameter would mean specialty tires that are going to be expensive. By the way, what does your state DMV have to say about such changes? Even if it is successful, the police could order it off of the road. Try finding a car with 15 inch rims to begin with, it should be a lot cheaper in the long run. Not advisable! My son did this with his VW and it caused so many problems...the main one being that he had punctures on a very regular babis and was spending a fortune on tyres!...this been due to the fact that he had to replace with bigger tyres as the alloys were 15".Why not give a VW dealer a ring and they will advise you.
