Question:
the left and right blinkers on my 05 grand am mysteriously stopped working a few days ago, then started working again. on my way home today, they did not work at all. so i call pontiac and they tell me to take it to a specific dealer to look at the car so i went there and low and behold my blinkers were working but the tech says theres not much they can do if its working. is that true or do i need to go to a different dealer? she also said to drive by when they arent working but thats a little difficult if i have other obligations.

That's Murphy's Law of autos. Whatever is broken, will promptly be corrected, upon pulling in to the mechanic.About how much would a master brake cylinder for a 1989 dodge d150 cost from a junkyard?
There is not much that they can do, and you should be happy, and not annoyed. They could have easily given you some line about replacing the wiring, or several relay, which could have cost you hundreds of dollars.
Count your blessings, and attempt to swing by like they asked.
How do you change the egr valve on a ford focus?
well i dont think they are bsing u because sometimes it could just be a quick short or something that moved i'm sure it would be possible to take everything in the car apart to figure it out but you dont want to pay for the labor to do that best bet on fixing the problem is to wait til it stops workingThis happens all the time , it's like giong to the dentist with a toothache and when you get there it quits hurting.I don't think you got bad service. If it's not broke how are you supposed to fix it ?
What are the reasons for gear twist and dis torsion ?
Intermittents of this sort are notoriously hard to debug. You could try replacing the flasher unit (they're cheap) or the turn signal lever (NOT cheap). But the problem could be in the wiring, in which case it will be the very devil to find. A question: when you indicate a turn, do the flashers for the left turn oscillate at the same rate as for a right turn? If not, you have a burned-out bulb.Have you heard anything bad about the subaru sti 2003+??
You have 2 flasher canisters located under the dash on the driver's side. One is for turn signals ,the other for 4 way flashers. My guess is the turn signal flasher is either overheating or just screwing up electronically. I would replace the turn signal one. To tell which one does what simply pull it and see what doesn't work . Since both look a like (silver can slightly larger then a quarter and about 1 1/2 in tall ) You pull one and your hazard flashers quit working then its the other one or vice versa. And yes the dealer is "yanking your chain' so to speak as this is how i have fixed the problem, both on the assembly line as well as on cars I and my friends haveWhat size rims should I put on a 93 Caprice?
In defense of the mechanic, it can be hard to diagnose an intermittant problem if everything is working when they check it. If you are still under warranty, I would insist that they keep the car overnight and try to make the problem show up the next day.Does anyone have more than 220,000 miles on their 1992 Toyota Corolla?
