He started Lamborghini because his ferrari had many problems and he complained to ferrari that their cars had problems. They did not fix the problems and designs so he decided to make his own company to compete against Ferrari and beat them. Lamborghini is owned by Volkswagon.

The Ferrari Enzo, which was only in production for 100-120 cars i believe, sold for $1,000,000 and is worth many millions now, they were sold about 2 years ago. One gentleman in Newport Beach, California crashed an Enzo in two, completely wrecking it. Police stated that the car was worth $500,000 laying on the road in two pieces completely totalled. A Ferrari is high-performance, but has more of a status symbol compared to the Lamborghini, which to some is more focused on performance. But to the question at hand: I'd take the Ferrari. It is just a remarkable company that makes well balanced cars that perform amazingly. They have this extra swagger because they are Ferrari's and definitely have the looks.

Lamborghini IMHO has yet to topple Ferrari for performance and looks. What Lambo brings to the table is the oddball factor. So you say everyone at the local strip/office/diner has Ferrari's and Porsche's...you bring a Lambo and your different. And you're more rare. Kinda like if you buy an Aston Martin...but IMHO Aston Martin's are dead sexy compared to Lambo's.
