being a dealership tech for 30 years,i was around when that car came out & was "chosen" to get trained on the new product (back then the dealership had to have a tech "trained" on a new product to receive that product) so i wound up getting "stuck" with them when one came in. i hated those cars they had a overheat problem with the 4 cly & you coudn't keep them from leaking oil. the v6 gt's with 5 speed had a recall on the internal shift linkage.(it seems like if you like "grabbing" the gears the linkage interlock pin breaks & the linkage hangs up) & let me tell you , "you ain't lived" till you've pull the transaxle on one of those, to sum it up YOU COULD NOT GIVE ME ONEDoes anyone make an aluminum rear differential cover for C3 corvettes?

Been in car business most of my life and Dad was a Snap on Tools guy his entire career. Mom had a Fiero and to me it was a neat car. I even still today say Pontiac was ahead of the game then and should bring it back today. Specially in this time of high gas prices.

No, no, no. In their day, they looked cool, but they were terrible cars -- very unreliable, and they had a rash of fires (incl a friend of mine who had one). If you want a great two seat sports car, get a Mazda Miata. It will kick the Fiero's butt in every possible way.those cars handle like crap and are really expensive to maintain if something goes wrong with the motor or god forbid you have power anything inside the car, keep this in mind it will cost more to maintain it than it will cost to purchase short and long haul. been there done that .
