Does the Toyota Yaris come the the same engine as the Toyota Vitz?

Actually they're the same vehicle, just the Vitz is the name they use for the yaris in another country. So, to answer your question directly, yes they do. It's also the same engine they use in the Scion Xa and Xb.

btw...the Yaris hatchback is total fun! :D The one I wanted was sold by the time I got to the dealer. ..so I got a Corolla which turned out to be better because the Yaris wouldn't have been too practical for 3 people going on a road trip or hauling lots of stuff stuff in general. ...but if I was living on my own, I would have bought the Yaris hatchback.
