Can I receive a second ignition switch on recall from Honda dealership?

Question:
I was wondering if my first recall switch has gone bad, after dealer replaced it 100,000 mi or so ago. If the recall would uphold the recall the second time?

I just had my oil changed in my 2007 Civic Si. How do I reset the maintenance light so it will go away?

And provide me with "free" inspection of this switch...

Two things on your question.
1) the part that was installed comes with a warranty of 12 months or 12,000 miles, so if the switch was replaced within the last year or under 12,000 miles ago then its covered under the parts warranty for the part and installation.
2) if it is a legitmate failure of the ignition switch beyond that mileage, Honda would likely consider replacement under a "goodwill" gesture. Recalls are very sensitive areas and Honda is a very customer-centric company. If it is a legitimate failure of a previously replaced switch I doubt that Honda would deny you assistance. Your dealer can contact Honda on your behalf once they confirm it is the ignition switch.

4.3 vortec fuel problem?

you don't mention what the problem is with the car. The ignition switch failure usually resulted in the car cutting out while driving but starting right back up after you coasted to a stop. In some cases you would have to hold the key to the 'start' position to keep the engine running.

I have an old car ,how do i find out how many like it were made?

Because other things can cause cars to stall or perform poorly other than the ignition switch, I can assure you that the dealer will quote you a diagnostic charge to isolate the cause of your problem. That is a fair practice. If it is covered by the parts warranty or related to the recall and Honda elects to provide goodwill assistance then the dealer will charge Honda for the diagnosis as part of that repair. If it is unrelated, you will need to assume responsibility and pay for the diagnosis. If you elect to have the repairs done by the dealer they will typically apply the diagnosis charge towards the repair charges.

Either way, my advise is take it to the dealer, find out what's wrong and take it from there.

'82 vw trucks?

Typically not if the switch was replaced with a revised design that eliminated the fault which was the cause of the recall. If the new switch has the same fault as the original recall then they should replace it. Your best bet is to call the dealer and see what they have to say.
