i have a 97 ford mustang and one day i was going somewhere and my air condition was on the on position cood temp max
then when i arrived to my destination i turned off the air then when i was leaving again i turned on the air the same way it was before then the air was coming out from the defroster part on top be the windshield please help

If it works ONLY on defrost, you've lost your main vacuum supply to the mode select switch. Defrost is the default NO VACUUM setting. Check the main vacuum supply rubber hose under the hood to your heater box, to see it's disconnected, or broken. Hope this helps.Whats worth buying the VW gti or the VW R32?
Could be the vent door is stuck, or a vacuum diaphragm is damaged, or a vacuum line has popped off. I hate those type of problems. They can be a real pain to narrow down, and since all of this is tucked under a very tight space (under the dashboard) it makes troubleshooting all that much more difficult.here's a link on ebay motors Ford forum that will explain it.
