I want to buy a German car built in Germany. I know they say the quality is the same when it's built elsewhere but I just don't believe that. Does anyone know which models are still built there? Also are most German cars sold in Germany built in Germany?

In edmunds.com, you can look up models and stuff that mercedes and other german manuf. make. They will list the assembly country. Another good place is the VIN number. The W in the first letter is for Germany, plus the other letters are for what plant, etc.
