Chevy s10 dashboard lite up like the truck die but continue to run any idea what might be wrong?

dash board lite up like the truck cut off , but was still running the lites did turn off again this has happen 3 x in the month .i did replace the battery last month . any idea what this might be ?

Since you said it's "lighting up" I guess your meaning it has a digital dash and it's going through the check sequence when you first turn the key on. Sounds to me like you have a faulty ground somewhere or, if this is a 89-94 S10 with a digital dash, you have a bad cluster... Mine did the same thing until I had mine rebuilt.
