the year is important ,if the car has been in an accident or no,why is he selling the car, all of these aspects are important. As for the reliability of Mercedes it is excellent but if it has been in a bad accident or the person who owned the car didn't make regular maintenance that is something else.

60k miles would be little bit higher. Mercs are always known to be a good machine. as you are looking at older model then pop the hood and look for the condition of transmistion and engine. this model is known to have a little trouble with the gear at the higher milage is you are going for a manual transmission. SLK is a great car to drive. Take it to a good mechnic and get an opinion. I would look for the price vs value of the car.
