Who are the stars of the Chevy commercial?
sounds like you have a bad or loose groundHad same problem with Saab 900. Do you have cloth seats? I solved the problem by spraying static guard on the seats every month. Wow what a difference. Try it it may work for you. P.S. I was told it was a bad ground but never found it ,then I tried Static guard.
1989 Lincoln Mark VII Question?
Get a can of static guard and spray the seat with it. The factory used to treat the fabric of the seat with scotch guard stain protectant, and that's what make the static. It's most likely just a build up of static electricity.
No big deal.
It's usually worse in cool, dry weather.
I bet the anti-static spray that others mentioned will help the situation.
Good Luck!
What does TESCO PETROL do to your car The Naff stuff?
Just hold the top of the door before sliding out! (This will ground you.) This works for me. I hate a static shock worse than a shock from AC electricity! My wife's '97 Lumina does this to me all the time and it torques me off!!
When I get out I try to touch the metal on the door before breaking contact with the seat. Or I push the door closed by touching the glass. Hope this helps.
