yes that is too much. Unless they have done some serious work on the transmission and engine. The tranny is probably going to go out with that many miles. No. When I bought mine it was just over 900. But it didn't come with a stereo (at all not even stock), also didn't have sunroof and such. So 1200 for it in good condition isn't bad. Way to much. Kelly's Blue Book puts the value of a1989 Ford Probe GL Hatchback 2D with 210,000 miles in fair condition at $410.00. That was for a private sale, sunroof and automatic transmission. They show a few different models from that year and I didn't include anything like AC. I would check out Kelly's Blue Book before buying any used vehicle and require the owner to provide a 3rd party car history report before I spend thousands of dollars on something.
