Question:
I purchased an 07 aveo 4 days ago and on Saturday while on I-85 the front wheel broke and is under the car. The dealer said I hit something in the roadway which is not true. I swerved to miss a car coming into my lane. The dealership said it was not covered by warranty and call my insurance. What is the best recourse?

I have a Chevy Camaro, made in 1993, Z28, 78,000 miles on it, how much do you think its worth?
In your question, you did not say if the the car was returned to the dealership. Over the phone the dealership cannot make this decision until the car has been inspected for the cause and if you did cause the damage, this would be visible and can be shown to you. If the dealership can't prove this to you, then the repairs should be under the warranty. If this is a Chevy problem and the dealership still declines the repair, contact Chevrolet at www.chevrolet.com or call 1-800-222-1020 and if your still right, go further and notify the media and the NHTSA at www.nhtsa.comIs there any other land rover and off roading fans out there?
Don't let the dealership get away with this if it's a defective part.

There should be a 3 day policy on your loan where you can cancel and back out. You are within that limit. Call your insurance person and explain what has happened. Also, you should have had full coverage for a brand new car - these dealers are scum! What is the part number of a/c relay in mazda protege 2001 1.6L?
Take the wheel and toss it thru the front window, Thats how to get their attention like the lady in the discount tire ads.your insurance will cover you to get you back on the road. but your rates will probably go up, and you will have to pay a deductible. the dealer probably wants you to bring the car to them also don't they. they know the insurance will pay more to correct the problem then the warranty will. or they want to collect on both. i would remind them the car is only 4 days old and if this is not taken care of properly you are not only going to badmouth them around town but you will also sue the crap out of them. tell them your very upset and you could have been seriously hurt or even killed. witch sounds like what could have happened.good luck
Does anyone have a Dodge Caliber that they have added sport utility bars to?
As said above, contact your loan and insurance companies. Then, get on the phone to your local media outlets who do consumer investigations. GM can not stand to have any bad PR out there.
Go to the GM website and check for any recalls, etc. email from there.
Also, try emailing GM at rwagoner@gm.com or pr@gm.com.

Why isn't the Cadillac brand in the list of "car makes" on CarQnA.com?
The Chevrolet Aveo is a subcompact car released in 2003 from GM Daewoo, and based on the Daewoo Kalos. Try calling Daewoo. They might care for their reputation a little more than Chevrolet. "This is our country"I hade the same problem with the clutch in my car. I had the car about a week and the cluch went and the dealership said that I didn't know how to drive stick(I've been driving a standard my whole life) so I called head office of ford(where I bought the car) and they had it fixed free of charge, normaly a 800-900$ repair.
Did the wheel break off at the spindle or did the lug nuts come off?? need to know if the spindle cam off its the dealers fault because of what is called PDI ( pre Delivery Inspection) that is required by law from the dealer before the car is sold. they have to have proof they completed it with all the correct wheel torq on all wheel nuts etc... I think its their fault. you purchased the car not to have problems.. I think you should talk to a lawyer.. Good Luck
Is a 2004 acura MDX using the same transmission as a 01-03 acura TL?
I would call back to the dealer and ask to speak to the manager. I would also have the vehicle towed to a GM dealer and have them look at the car, they will be able to make the determination if the wheel just fell off or if it was because of an impact. If they are able to prove that it was because of an impact, ie: curb, something in the path of the vehicle. If it was because of something in the path of the vehicle then your insurance will have to assist you. If it was due to a mechanical issue then your warranty will handle it if the car is less than 36,000 miles. I hope that this helps...Good luck. How are the convertible pt cruisers?
i ran into problems with pontiac.i was driving through town and lady pulled out in front of me from a side street and i t-boned her. i hit her so hard i broke the spindals on the car. and the tire and wheel was laying in the road. this car had also hit 3 deer prior to this. but had always gotten repaired. i wanted my air bags to be tested.and fought with gm. they finally came and got the car and took it to there factory in michigan (supposebly) to test the air bags. and they said that there was nothing wrong. so personally i would say untill gm gets there crap together. i would find another brand. such as replacing that aveo with a civic or focus. faster vehicles. same gas millage.More Questions & Answers ...
