Cold air induction on 2000 ws6.?

Question:
ok, i bought a kit with clear air lid , smooth air bellow and metal box to go in front of radiator. i know that the lid and bellow will help, i can tell. BUT, i have not installed the cold air box yet because i didnt think it would need it . Do i have a part that can give me extra horsepower sitting under my bed? the car pullls the cold air thru the hood , would the box just complicate the airflow?

The cold air intake is designed to take colder air from outside rather than warmer air from around the engine. Since the colder air has a higher density for given volume, it increases the amount of air supplied to your engine. With more air, you will be able to burn more fuel, and go faster.
