Question:
I don't want to buy a set of Headers that will blow exhaust gaskets, like Hooker Headers. Also, I want a pair that requires no banging to get it around the steering box. Your help is appreciated!

where is the pcv valve located on a 1970 chevy c10 truck 307 motor?
The header itself will not blow the gasket. This is caused by improper surface preparation, cheap gaskets, too much back-pressure, or any combination of these. Hooker has been making quality headers for Mustangs since the Mustang was first produced in mid-1964.how much is 1992 acura integra in fairly good condition with over 194,000 miles on it?
There are others brands out there. To prevent problems with the steering box, be sure that you are buying headers specifically designed for your year Mustang, and for the 289 engine. You may have to look a little harder, but it will save you many headaches during installation and in the future.

what size rim and tire combo. can I PUT ON A 1986 CHEVY CAPRICE?
As stated, the header itself has nothing to do with blowing header gaskets. Put lock washers on the bolts and purchase bolts that are 1/4" longer if necessary. If you can't get lock washers on EVERY bolt (you should be able to but possibly not depending on the brand of header) then you need to tighten all of the bolts, run it through a few heat cycles and then re tighten all of the bolts. You may need to do that a few times or you may need to do it constantly but don't let it slide. If you don't keep on top of it then your bolts may back out and then you will start blowing header gaskets. I put lock washers on mine and have not had an issue since. As for what will fit, that will depend on the year of the car and if everything else is stock or not. I have a set of headman long tubes that fit nice in my 65. They work around the z-bar clutch or hydraulic clutch but if you have a cable clutch they are a PITA.More Questions & Answers ...
